While playing 'volleyball' there was one damage - to the Yellow Submarine Mergen's flip-flop/thong. The side strap flew out of its place and the boy had to use a stick, a stone, a pen and two pencils to put it back.

Sports

We read some facts about hurling, the world fastest game. But we played 'volleyball' in the school yard. By the way, I did not find the description of this popular type, that is , playing without the net, standing in the circle. I suspect there is a special name of this game?!

Sports Day: Green Win Pink Prize

Our counselors organized playing volleyball. Green Irish Emerald has won a large cake! The pink cake with the campers around it was being photographed by several photographers as if it were a Final Cup! Green campers felt so proud!

SPORTS CLASSES

Summer camp is in full swing and all the students as well as teachers are literally "bursting" with ideas of making our camp a better place.
Here's something I came up with during my sports lessons: to jazz up your lessons you don't neccessarily need to reinvent a bicycle- you may combine and mix the existing ideas and get something new and fresh.
That's exactly how we got "FREEBALL" (combined version of frisbee and football) and "FREELING" (frisbee + bowling). Full description is viewable here.

America's National Pastime

Today was the second day of the camp. After learning about American symbols yesterday, the students became acqainted with America's most popular sport- baseball! They learned many new words and now they know the basic rules of the game. They were able to describe the equipment used in baseball, and luckily there were no injuries! We plan on playing next week so stay tuned for an update!
